Pre-Conference Workshop

Deadly Violence: Strangulation, a high-risk precursor to domestic homicide

Location: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

 

Participants will strengthen their understanding of:

  • The medical and forensic realities of strangulation, including invisible injury and delayed lethality
  • Evidence-based risk indicators and their link to homicide trajectories
  • Best practice investigation, documentation and courtroom presentation
  • Cross-sector coordination between health, policing, prosecution and advocacy
